Erica and her fiancé came to visit me with an idea for a statement engagement ring using teal or green sapphires. She wanted them set in an 18ct yellow gold engagement ring and for the sapphires to be the stars of the show. She loved the idea of different shapes working together and I sourced lots of beautiful gemstones for her to select from. We took our time to get just the right combination and over a period of a few months we tried out several different shades and cuts. In the end we settled on a trillion cut, an oval cut and a cushion cut with similar, but not exactly matching shades of teal, so there are always different tones to be seen. The bright yellow gold handmade bezels were just the right shade to show off the stones in all their glory.
