Karen's Recycled Silver, Gold, Garnet and Tourmaline Vine Stacking Rings
Karen's Recycled Silver, Gold, Garnet, and Tourmaline Vine Stacking Rings were made from some old broken jewellery that was languishing at the bottom of a jewellery box. She had a broken silver and pink tourmaline earring that had been gifted to her by her parents and held a lot of sentimental value, plus a gold and garnet ring from her mother that had several stones missing. She wanted to keep the precious memories that were locked within these pieces, but also give them a new life so that they could once again be worn.
Karen looked at my previous commissions and created a mood board from all the styles she liked. She decided that she would like 2 rings that could be worn separately or together to give her options on how to wear them. From this initial consultation I was able to create sketches of several ring designs for Karen to choose from. She decided on these unique rings featuring a delicate vine design, made from recycled silver with gold settings made from the broken garnet ring, set with a mix of garnets from the ring and tourmalines from the earring. Each piece is not only a stunning accessory, but also a future heirloom to be cherished for generations to come.
